PETA: Power & Energy Training Academy

Power & Energy Training Academy (PETA) was established in January 2019 by Dept. of EEE, UIU. This academy offers various certificate programs on Power & Energy sector to impart necessary skills to engineering graduates/ professional engineers.

PETA hires top notch industrial experts as trainer. PETA also arranges industrial visit for its students. So far, PETA has successfully completed four batches of its first module “Operation & Maintenance of Power Plant”, a four months long training module for engineers willing to or working in power plants.

Till now PETA has awarded certificates to more than 100 students. The students of PETA are being successfully employed in leading power plants and power related companies. Students from KUET, RUET, AUST, NSU,IUB, AIUB, EWU, DIU, IUBAT, UITS, Bangladesh Marine Academy (BMA) and professional engineers working in different power plants are also enrolled into PETA courses.

For current students, PETA arranges seminar and workshops related to power & energy sector.
