Message from Head

On behalf of our faculty, staff, and administration, welcome to the Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) Department at United International University (UIU).

The department has a short history as an institution, with origins going back to some 16 years ago. Since our inauguration as a private university in 2004 under the new private university system in Bangladesh, the university has played an important role in higher education and research in Bangladesh. Over the years, the department has been offering a large and comprehensive set of courses relating to the core subjects of engineering sciences and ethics for our undergraduate students to prepare them to tackle the ever-increasing challenges of professional arena.

From this context, the department has been awarded Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) accreditation in recognition for maintaining a high quality of standard of engineering education in Bangladesh.

At EEE Department, UIU, our overarching mission is to contribute to the peace and development of humankind through education, research, and social philanthropy, while thinking globally as well as locally. The department is proactive in its Quest for Excellence and is actively engaged with experts to explore the globally adopted Outcome Based Education (OBE) system.

As one of our initiatives to accomplish this mission, we have been striving in recent years to accelerate the globalization of our campus and to expand partnerships with overseas institutions. As a result, we are working on to increase the number of students from our partner institutions overseas and have encouraged our own students to participate in study abroad programs as a way of cultivating a broad international perspective, along with deeper knowledge in individual subject areas.

In collaboration with our international partners as well as our faculty members, who are professionals with vast experience in their areas of specialization, we seek out opportunities to equip our students with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in the world. I am hopeful that this website will inspire you to take a closer look at the EEE department of UIU.
